This piece immediately reminded me of an amusement park and I thought of NYC’s famous Luna Park, right on the ocean in Coney Island. I lived there (in Coney Island, not in the amusement park) until I was around seven years old. The painting brought back so many fond memories of the rides, the penny arcade, the boardwalk, and those fabuolous Nathan’s waffle fries — to this day I’ve never tasted better.
